How do I book?   It’s easy. Just choose your event and click on ‘BOOK NOW!’ button. This will take you to a short registration form which you complete and then click on the ‘Paypal’ button to pay via PayPal, the safest way to pay over the internet. Back to Top

Is it safe to book online? We use PayPal because it is the most secure way to pay by card or bank transfer online. If you would like to check Paypal out just click here to be directed to the PayPal website. Back to Top

Can I pay using other methods? If you don’t wish to pay using your credit card you can pay cash on the night but you must inform us at least 3 days before the event date so we can reserve your place. You can also send us a cheque through the post, but please allow time for the cheque to clear, and again please inform us so we can reserve your place. Back to Top

Why is it best to book well in advance? At every event we need to ensure an equal balance of both men and women and that enough people will be attending each event. Back to Top

What types of people go speed dating? People like you, is the answer. Most speed daters are people who lead busy lives and don't have much spare time and want to meet new people in a fun, safe environment. They're generally normal, attractive people with varied interests and professions who don’t get the chance to meet people outside of work. Back to Top

Can I bring a friend? Yes of course. Many people ask a friend to accompany them for moral support. Please contact us to confirm we can accommodate your friends who want to come along but not participate. Back to Top

How safe it speed dating? Speedy Date UK are probably the only speed dating company who have a fully qualified SIA approved Door Supervisor present at every event, we want you to have a fun night but also feel safe, this should reassure any ladies who wish to attend one of our events on their own.  Even so, we still advise you to use the same safety principles as you would on any other night out. Tell your family and friends where you will be, don't give out your address too readily and make sure you have reliable transport for your journey home. Back to Top

Do I have to give out my personal details to other speed daters on the night? No, You don't have to give out personal contact details on the night and we don't recommend it; it's all done for you by us using emails. Back to Top

How does the speed dating event work? When you arrive you’ll be welcomed by you Speedy Date UK host, put at your ease and given your drink voucher and badge. Once the dating part of the evening begins, the person with badge number one will go to table number one, those with badge number two go to table number two and so on. Once seated you'll ask each other a few questions, and generally see if there’s any chemistry between each other then you'll put on your sheet yes, no or friend. After four minutes, a whistlel will sound, all the girls remain seated and all the guys move to the next table. This continues until half time when you’ll be given a fifteen-minute break to recharge your batteries, and then it’s back to chat until you have met all of the other speed daters.Back to Top

How do you inform me who wants a date or friendship? We email your information to your specified email address. If you don't have an email address we recommend that you set one up before the event. If you have internet access you can set one up free at www.yahoo.co.uk  Most internet cafes will be happy to help you. We have found that email is the most convenient and secure way of putting people in initial contact and providing your results. Back to Top

What will you use my personal details for? We will use your personal details for no other reason than Speedy Date UK contact with yourself and to provide your contact email address to the people with whom you match.Back to Top

Can I change to a different date? If you wish to transfer to another event you must contact us at least three working days prior to the event date. Transfers are subject are to a £10 administration fee. Back to Top

What's your policy on refunds? I've met someone; can I cancel and get my money back? We will gladly issue a refund (subject to a £10 administration fee) if you let us know a minimum of three working days before the event date. Back to Top

Can my friend take my place if I can’t make it?  Of course if they are the same gender, but they may still be able to attend in your place if not so contact us to find out, then let us know their name and email address and we’ll take it from there. Back to Top

What are your office hours? Our office hours are 9am – 5pm for telephone queries, but if you contact us via text or email outside of these hours we will endeavour to reply as soon as possible. Back to Top

What if I’m not attracted to someone as soon as I see him or her? That’s the beauty of speed dating events, you may not think of someone as a potential date but may really hit it off as friends. But if it’s a definite no to both just be polite, it’s only 4 minutes and then you can move on to the next person. Back to Top

How long does each event last? We do our best to keep the event running to schedule the event will begin at 8pm and end at around 10pm, which means the event will last just over 2 hours including a fifteen minute refreshment break. After the event you are free to socialise. Back to Top

What if I am a little older or younger than the stated age range? That’s ok, just as long as you realise that if you are way outside the stated age range that you may not get as many matches. Back to Top

Do you have any requirements? Our main requirements are that you should be single and over 18 years of age. Back to Top

What should I wear? Smart casual is best. Back to Top
